PolyPeptide Laboratories

Starting in Malmö in 1952, the PolyPeptide Group fosters a culture of innovation, excellence and trust across its global network.

The company has experienced fast growth over the last decade and the Malmö campus needed to develop to accommodate this and be flexible for the future. 

The brief was to create a strong design concept that would reflect the company philosophy and brand and permeate the premises.

 

​The ‘PolyPeptide green’ was accompanied by an interior-adapted colour scale of sumptuous greens, turquoises and blues, supported by purple, neutrals & greys.

Moss pictures in various shades of green together with a variety of plants added to the biophilic connection, increasing connectivity to the natural environment. 

 

The Malmö site was from 1897 the site for ’Svenska Bindgarnsfabriken’, where various ropes were made by hand.

We found an archive of old photos from this era that we printed on pictures and walls and used around the campus as a nod to a departed era. 

The MD’s ornate turret home still sits within the modern production buildings.
