Photography
There is an untouchable magic about immortalising something in a photo. It may or may not be a true representation of what was there or took place. The photo is an interpretation of what the photographer saw or wanted to record.
Photography is a personal journey of choosing which exact moment to eternalise the scene you are confronted with.
Photography intrigues me. It has a relevant connection to architecture and design since the created form relies on photography to make it ‘forever lasting’ and announce its existence worldwide through various media.
I photograph various subjects and scenarios, but find myself especially drawn to the built environment.
Over the past few years, I have been fortifying my photographic skills and invested in some professional equipment to photograph my projects upon completion. My trade skills put me at an advantage as a photographer of architecture/design as I intuitively pick up the smallest details to achieve a successful outcome. I shoot RAW files that I later edit, which gives me great flexibility in deciding the mood of the final images.
