Beijer Electronics is a high-technology company active in industrial automation and data communication

Since 1981, Beijer Electronics has grown from a local Swedish technology company to a multinational group with operations in leading markets worldwide. By creating and developing innovative technologies and software, they increase their customers’ efficiency and reduce their costs wherever they’re located.

Based in Malmö, Sweden, Beijer Electronics needed to move their head office just outside of town to more of a city centre location. They also wanted to move away from traditional cellular offices to open-plan workstations to streamline space planning and increase collaboration across the board. A welcoming, uncluttered reception space greets visitors with a small but comfortable waiting area and a fine view. A large-scale world map and high-tech wall-mounted storage and display systems adorn an entire wall of the reception area.

The brand colours red, white and shades of grey become key to the interior concept, together with strong graphics and architectural lighting. Beijer decided that the best location in the building should be dedicated to the staff. The large open room on the top floor was divided into a café and a lounge with sweeping views of Västra Hamnen, the Öresund bridge and Denmark.
