Photography
There is an untouchable magic about immortalising something in a photo. It may or may not be a true representation of what was there or took place, the photo is rather an interpretation of what the photographer saw or wanted to record. Photography is a personal journey of choosing in which exact moment to take the picture, whether staged or real.
Photography intrigues me. It has a relevant connection to architecture and design, since the created form relies on photography to make it 'forever lasting' and announce its existence across the world through various media.
I photograph a variety of subjects and scenarios/settings, but find myself especially drawn to the built environment. Over the past few years I have been fortifying my photographic skills and invested in some professional equipment to be able to photograph my own projects upon completion. I believe that my trade skills puts me at an advantage as a photographer of architecture/design as I intuitively pick up the smallest details to achieve a successful outcome. I shoot RAW files that I later edit, which gives me great flexibility in deciding the mood of the final images.

Both in photography and film, there is that fantastic combination of fantasy and reality. It can be or represent whatever you want it to.
